What is ShowerUp?

"We aren't here to make dirty people clean...we are here to give hopeless people HOPE!"
ShowerUp serves those experiencing homelessness  by providing showers, hygiene resources and personal care with our mobile shower units. We hope to share love, build relationships, and restore hope. ​We are currently in Nashville, TN and Huntsville, AL.
Inside the ShowerUp mobile shower units, guests will find private, comfortable "shower suites" with a clean shower and sink with plenty of hot water and whatever they need to Shower Up!
We believe that everyone deserves a shower.

Mobile Showers for those experiencing homelessness in Nashville and Huntsville

In the Nashville area, there are over 10,000 (some studies put that number MUCH higher) homeless men, women and children who often go weeks and months without a roof over their heads and that means no access to a shower, basic hygiene or attention to personal care. While there are organizations and resources available to serve a variety of needs, there are fewer than a dozen shower heads available to them.

Less than a dozen shower heads for 10,000 people.

That was in 2016.

​Since then, ShowerUp has DOUBLED THAT NUMBER.

ShowerUp is able to bring our mobile shower units on location and provide a hot shower, clean towels, soap, shampoo, shaving cream and razors and things that most of us take for granted. More than that though, our team of volunteers is able to engage in conversation, build relationships, demonstrate love, and create a truly caring environment. 

ShowerUp also provides an excellent volunteer experience. Serving opportunities are available for every level of experience and comfort. Whether it's driving the truck and preparing for service, handing out shower supplies, cleaning, hosting, or just being there with a friendly smile and hug, Shower Up is designed to utilize volunteers with minimal training and maximum involvement. ​
